James Dondero is the co-founder of Highland Capital Management company. He is the president of the company which advises about $20 billion. He studied at the University of Virginias McIntire School of Commerce. In 1933, he started his Highland Capital Management investment firm. He earned his company the name as “one of the largest alternative credit managers in the United States and across the globe”. One of the best things about James Dondero is his dedication to helping the city of Dallas. Not only has he helped out with the Dallas Zoo (which he donated $1 million to), but he also donated a sum of money to the Perot Museum of Natural Science as well as the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Institute.
He doesn’t stop there, he has provided a number of other services to give back to his city. He is a very generous and selfless man. His $2 billion company has evolved from a tiny business.
